ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Due to organisational growth, the role of CFO has been created, based in Melbourne reporting to the CEO.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage the company’s finance, accounting, investor relations, legal, taxation and payroll functions

• Design and maintain a framework for continuous corporate planning, forecasting and cost reporting

• Develop a performance management system which links both qualitative and quantitative key performance indicators to the strategies and outcomes of the organisation

• Collaborate with CEO to establishing strategic relationships and capital raising with investors and partners

• Collaborate with CEO and Financial Controller on financial and taxation strategies in line with organisational objectives

• Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives for the company's processes and procedures

• Ensure the delivery of accurate financial reports, both management and statutory, within mandated levels

• Leading and building a scalable and disciplined finance function including budgeting, financial modeling, sales incentive plans, employee equity schemes and deep data analysis

• Support CEO with communication and financial reporting to investors & board

• Manage international entity expansion including banking set-up

• Manage and control risk identification, risk management and assessment across the company and ensure appropriate risk management controls are in place

• Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements

• Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations, as required

• Provide strategic advice to the CEO on all matters pertaining to the financial health of the organisation and recommend KPI’s, accordingly

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in a Chief Finance Officer, Finance Director or equivalent role & relevant tertiary qualifications

• Start-up experience in an equivalent role, plus originating and closing equity deals

• Experience in working in an entrepreneurial set-up or a start-up venture

• Extensive knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.

• Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems

• Working knowledge of federal and state financial regulations & statutory requirements

• Experience in capital raising & funding activities

• Ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections

• Experience in M&A preferred

• Experience in international entity expansion including banking

• Experience with credit card acceptance would highly desirable

• Excellent written communication, verbal communication and presentation skills

• Proven ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders across a diverse range of technical expertise and seniority

• Post-graduate qualification in accounting or business administration

• Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ACA) or Certified Practising Accountants (CPA)
