An exciting opportunity has become available for a highly experienced Golf Club Category Manager to manage the Titleist golf club business in Australia. Based in Melbourne and reporting to the Managing Director, you will be primarily responsible for the category management of Titleist golf clubs.  This incorporates ownership over golf club strategic planning (including golf club market and dedicated golfer analysis), product life cycle management, club fitting and all promotional related activities for the golf club category.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure the Titleist Club brand vision and Australian brand strategies are aligned with global strategy.  

  • Execution of all agreed golf club initiatives outlined within the annual Business Plan for Australia.  Also assisting our New Zealand team as required.

  • Prepare all club category annual business plans projections and mid-month forecasts.

  • Work closely with Golf Club Inventory team to ensure stock on hand and on order is in line with expected market demand.

  • Manage the implementation of all product, promotional, merchandising and club fitting initiatives aligned to the annual Business Plan.

  • Develop an extensive understanding of the Titleist Golfer audience in terms of product performance needs, size of segment, where they play and where they purchase.

  • Work with Managing Director, Titleist Marketing Communications Manager and Sales Team to deliver programs to assist with consumer brand awareness and trade partner sell through.

  • Manage the Product life cycle planning including: launch calendar, merchandising planner, promotional material planning and EOPLC management.

  • Present in detail our new products and existing products to our sales team, trade partners and as required to our media partners and dedicated golfers.

  • Liaison to Acushnet USA for all key category performance results and reports, along with specific local product requirements.

  • Lead and work with the Golf Club Fitting Manager who is responsible for the Titleist Club Fitting Centre and all our Consumer Fitting and trial initiatives. 


To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will need:

  • Minimum 2 years of related experience in category, product or brand management within the golf industry.   

  • Experience in developing, providing input to and implementing global strategy.

  • In depth knowledge of the game of golf, club technology and club fitting is essential.

  • Extensive experience in golf club sales and marketing

  • Bachelor Degree with a relevant major (Marketing or Business).

  • Exceptional business administration, report writing and Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills both verbal and written.

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.

  • Self-starter who is equally a Team player.

  • Staff management or supervisory experience.

  • Be able to travel nationally and overseas when required.
